Well this certainly is an interesting compilation cd! Several Belgian artists ‘donated’ a free and exclusive song for this compilation. The profits of it would help Rif Raf, a free and independent music magazine in Belgium, to keep its head above water. It got sold out in the meantime, so I suppose the mission of this cd is accomplished. On a musical point of view, this is a tremendous collection. It had totally new tracks by Dead Man Ray, Gore Slut, Thou & Mauro Pawlowski, Nemo, Gorki, Sexmachines and many others. It had The magic of new popmusic, a dEUS-track which could only be found on the ‘Volume 11’ compilation cd, and a 4-track version of A greater loss than pain by Kiss My Jazz. If you like Belgian music, this cd is a must. The tracks by Gore Slut, Dead Man Ray and dEUS are all very good, and the 4-track version of A greater loss than pain is equally interesting. The other tracks on the cd are pretty diverse- something for everyone’s taste I guess. Definitely a recommended cd, although a bit hard to find nowadays.
