This is one bizarre album. It came almost completely out of the blue in march 2001, other than an obscure split single in '99, nobody seemed to know exactly who or what Sue Daniels was. And we still don't, really.

[Paris] - named after the city which is Sue Daniels' own piece of heaven - is a highly schizophrenic record with melancholy, eclectic drum patterns, strange little noises, a highly neurotic voice, and - most important - really nice songs.
Though not exactly easy-listening music (some of the drum patterns are really bizarre and nervous), [Paris] is an album made on lazy sunday afternoons, made for listening on lazy sunday afternoons. It's like gazing at someone else's old photo album, recollecting pleasant and not-so-pleasant childhood memories. The slightly high-pitched voice of Sue Daniels makes it all the more surrealistic, maybe somewhat similar to the two first Gore Slut albums.
[Paris] might not be a complete masterpiece - it has occasional moments which can't captivate the listener's full attention - it is most definitely a very promising debut.
Fingers crossed Sue Daniels will brew a few sequels to this album.
