The second album by Kiss My Jazz, and already noticeably more accessible. There still are some nail-biting, razor sharp songs completely ‘screwed up’ (in the positive way of the word of course), but most tracks are very audible- even for your moms and dads. There’s a lot more jazz on this album too, as well as some nutty pop tunes.
Personal favorites are the jazzy Mona lisa overdrive, Star Trek tribute Warp 7, the beautiful jazzy single Stained glass and the hilarious Wild orchid, where Viking Dave Robertson and Craig Ward show off their stand-up comedy talents, plus it has a great, atmospheric soundtrack-style music as well.
It’s hard to say which one is the best Kiss My Jazz album. The first one is a bit radical in one way, being very inaccessible; the third one is more radical in the opposite way- far more relaxed than before. The middle one is predictably a bit of both. I’d say- go for all three!
