Now this is an absolute gem in my book. Filled with razor sharp, unpredictable songs- this album has beautiful ballads, some moody jazz tunes and unexpected tunes. First heard it 3 years ago and it still sounds as fresh as it used to. This might be kiss my jazz at their least accessible, but there are some definite classics on there- bite, mute fish and lovers and place are modest pieces of brilliance- as they proved to be on the last kiss my jazz tour. Some moments are very weird- and perhaps a bit too inaccessible- but these are easily made up by the rest of the album, which is either pure genious, or from time to time, almost pure madness.
Oh- and dave’s hat talk is hilarious- even still after 3 years’ time.

'In doc’s place…' has become a bit of a collector’s item too- 6500 copies were printed and they’re all sold out by now, so you better start looking in those second hand stores if you haven’t got a copy of your own yet.
