This is a pretty weird single. It has the edited version of
Copy of 78, where they dropped the middle part from the album. The remixes by Wouter Van Belle are ‘remarkable’.
Copy of 79 takes one sample from the original, and repeats it continuously, adding some
sherman filterbank effects. The result is an almost trance-style remix of the song, which will certainly annoy several people not used to this kind of music. The 10 keer sneller met de fiets remix does about the same as the Copy of 79 remix, but only shorter. Copy of 80 does the same again, but slower, more down-tempo. I would have preferred some new songs in stead of these remixes, but they’re pretty interesting all the same. Not a cd which will continiously be in your player though. 10 keer sneller met de fiets is a small, dutch line which was subtly inserted in the lyrics of Copy of 78. Literally translated, it means ‘ten times faster by bike’. | |
