The first official single of dead man ray, this has some interesting tracks. The Chemical 4-track version is a rougher, demo version of the song. It’s pretty much like the finished thing though. The Embryo jam cut differs more from the album version, with a far more prominent guitar part making for a less poppy sound. This version loses a bit of the original’s ‘freshness’, too. The two completely new tracks are great. Suncomfort has almost as much hit potential as Chemical itself, and would fit nicely between the other tracks on the album, Berchem. New delhi rontgen scan is a far more quiet, more atmospheric track- a bit more ‘traditional’ than the other dead man ray songs. It is one of the few dmr songs with a bass guitar in it as well. Chemical is a very neat single- definitely worth buying if you like Berchem. |
