Simplicity. That’s the keyword for this bizarre release. Well, coming up with the title of this cd certainly hasn't caused any headaches. It's the first Heavenhotel release outside the Benelux, this effort shows Virgin sees certain ‘possibilities’ for Dead Man Ray across the borders.
The artwork has been recycled from the previous releases, and as you can make up from the tracklist, the first nine tracks are from Berchem, the last nine from Trap. Even the order of the tracks remains intact from both the albums. A sign of laziness or even anarchy from Daan & co? Very likely.
The selection of the songs is probably based on weirdness- less obvious tracks as Weckpot, 6-pack, WW3 or Warehouse have been ditched for this album, probably a move to make sure the French audience market doesn’t get too freaked by the music from day one.
Some tracks from Berchem on this compilation appear in an extremely slightly different mix from the originals, but nothing anyone but the most devoted fan will notice. Only Copy of '78 is different- on this album you'll find it in its feedbackless radio edit incarnation. Anyway, not too much else can be said of this release. If you’ve already got Berchem or Trap, this cd isn’t really worth any extra money. In its own, it's a brilliant cd of course- it's over 76 minutes of Dead Man Ray's finest tunes, collected on one disc. If you’re a severe collector, or easely freaked out by some of Dead Man Ray's weird spasms on the original albums, this is worth considering.

A promo copy of Berchem Trap. It comes in a single cardboard sleeve, not in a fold-out sleeve. Other than the words "promo copy not for sale" printed on the front and back of the sleeve, this cd is identical to the standard version of Berchem Trap.
