A demo tape only sold at live gigs, this was the first release of Lionell Horowitz and his combo. (before their radical name change to ‘Lionell Horrowitz and his combo’)
Most tracks were later released as well on Au bain marie, in the exact same versions. The only three tracks that weren’t on the album are Le bram, Déjà vû and L’hiver. The latter two were used in Dave’s great idea, the former is one hundred percent exclusive!!
Le Bram is a short but very powerful and wicked little tune- not exactly easy listening music though. Déjà vû has a monotonous guitar chord, which gets almost hypnotic after a while. But it’s a cool track for the rest as well. L’hiver finally, is a beautiful, atmospheric song about the autumn I guess. Truly great stuff.
Strange though how this tape never mentions 'Heavenhotel', as Lionell Horrowitz is very much a Heavenhotel band. Perhaps this tape got released before heavenhotel existed as a label.
